About Dr. Theoharis
Dr. Theoharis is a licensed psychotherapist with over 17 years experience in Outpatient and Inpatient Forensic Health Care
Settings. She obtained her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Nova Univerisity in 1992. She then earned her Psy.D.
in clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in 2003.
Her Doctorate research focused on Obesity and Physical/Emotional Health, with the development of a Weight Loss & Management
Program. Other clinical work experience includes South Florida State Hospital, the Department of Children & Families,
and Mental Health Centers. She worked as a teacher and later as a therapist in Day Care Centers, Public Schools, and with
children and families in their home settings.
Dr. Theoharis has conducted workshops and trainings on a variety of topics including Depression, Anxiety, Stress Management,
Coping with the Difficult Child and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
She worked in a private group practice for over five years, prior to opening her own office, which is now located in Pompano
Beach Florida.
